U13 - U18 Youth Teams
A and B Divisions
There are two streams of league Soccer in NS - the Community pathway and the Performance pathway.
PLSA focuses on the Community pathway, which includes the A and B Divisions of play.
This stream is perfect for soccer players (or multi-sport athletes) who want to train/play 2 - 3 times a week, closer to their community. Programs continue to focus on individual player development as well as teamwork and game play as we strive to provide a positive and rewarding player experience.
Levels include U13 A/B, U15 A/B and U18 A. Both A and B divisions offer league playoffs and provincial championship opportunities.
Team and Player Assessments - We strive to place players and teams in the appropriate divisions where they can experience both challenge and success. When multiple divisions/teams are offered for the same age group, we will hold assessment/try-out/balancing sessions to determine the appropriate team placements. When only one team is offered, we will assess the skill level, experience and commitment of the players and register the team accordingly.

Game Days and Practice Schedules - Game Days are set by the league and try to be consistent throughout the season. Practice days are planned around game days, and based on coach, player and field availability.
Equipment and Uniforms - PLSA youth teams will be provided with an official PLSA Club jersey that must be returned at the end of the season. Players must wear black shorts and black socks for league games. Shin guards and soccer cleats are also mandatory, and all players are required to bring a soccer ball to practice.
Fees - U13 - U18 Registration Fee is $300.
Coaches - PLSA welcomes a variety of dedicated coaches who have a sporting background. Parents, youth players, former players and other community members step forward each season to provide a positive team environment where players can explore, play and develop.
We are committed to player safety and all coaches must be screened and trained within the standards set by Canada Soccer. These requirements include the age-stage specific grassroots soccer training/course, making ethical decisions, respect in sport, making headway and emergency action planning.
PLSA is pleased to cover all costs associated with Coach screening and training.
